The Magic of Post-Production in Architectural Photography

At Chicago Commercial Photography, we believe that every detail matters. That’s why we go the extra mile in our post-production process to ensure that your building is showcased in the best possible way.

In this project, we made several enhancements:

• Changed the Sky: We replaced the original sky with a more vibrant and appealing one to create a more striking backdrop for the building.

• Removed Distractions: We digitally removed power lines, utility poles and a parked car in front of the building that were distracting from the main subject. We also cleaned the sidewalk, added trees at the far end to cover a neighboring building that was a distraction.

• Improved the Surroundings: We digitally repaved the street and driveway, and even removed snow and added shrubs to make the surroundings as appealing as the building itself.

And the best part? We did all this without altering the look of the building itself. The result is a stunning image that truly highlights the beauty of the architecture.

In this particular project, we made the deliberate choice to capture the building from street level, rather than using our platform truck. We found that this perspective offered a more appealing view of the architecture in this specific instance.
